Hello everyone,
I'm writing today to thank you all for your prayers. God is faithful! We had a safe, wonderful journey across the country. It took us 5 days and 4 nights and we had great weather all the way through. In fact it seems we brought unseasonably warm weather with us to Port Huron for the first couple of weeks. But that all came to an end yesterday as a severe snow storm arrived for the weekend. Maybe you heard about it on the news. It's kind of strange to see snow this late in April but we're enjoying it. Please pray for us that the Lord would continue to fill us with His joy and peace as we face all the new adjustments in living here.
I also wanted to let you know that I got a job as a loan officer with 1st Community Mortgage Services. I started last week and I have lots to learn. The schedule is great for ministry with evenings and weekends off and we believe that this is the job the Lord has for me right now.
We have been attending Calvary Chapel Oakland County which is about an hour away in the city of Troy. The teaching and fellowship has been great and the folks that we've met have been excited and supportive about the Lord's plans for us in Port Huron (Hear-on). As for the Bible study, we are still praying about what night it should be and when it should begin. We've actually met a few people that are interested about coming when it starts which has been an encouragement from the Lord.
I was able to keep my same email address which is jwerk@comcast.net so feel free to drop us a line whenever you like.
We miss you and thank God for you and your prayers.
In Christ Jesus,
Jason & Sonia
